Code of Conduct

This livestock market welcomes all to participate as buyers, sellers, or observers. This code represents a deep commitment from us that you will be treated fairly and with respect and professionalism as you conduct your business here.

The following conduct must be observed while on the Blue Grass Stockyards premises:

  • No foul language
  • Behavior that is disruptive to the sale or workplace
  • Public outbursts in the sale ring, barn or office
  • Abusive treatment of employees, buyers, sellers, observers, or livestock
  • Unsafe operation of motor vehicles
  • Failure to comply with payment policy
  • Failure to comply with regulatory requirements

To protect the business environment, management will ask anyone who engages in a prohibited behavior to cease the violative behavior, if the behavior persists, the offender will be asked to leave the premises. Any person who refuses to leave when asked to do so, will be treated as a trespasser and dealt with accordingly.

We pride ourselves in having a very organized system of conflict resolution and will deal with any disagreements or complaints in a professional and timely manner. Anyone who desires to do so, has the right to submit a complaint to the grain inspection, packers and stockyards administration or any other applicable government agency or department.
