PRESS RELEASE – June 5, 2017 – Lexington, KY
The owners and management of the Blue Grass Livestock Marketing Group are excited to announce the management team for the rebuilt Blue Grass Stockyards at 4561 Ironworks Pike in Lexington, Kentucky.
Gene Barber, Chairman of the Board stated, “We have been through months of interviews and discussions of how to best achieve the goals we have for the business. Our most important criteria in our search was passion for the livestock marketing business and a strong work ethic. We came to the realization that the scale of this business along with its diversity and the high expectations that we all have for it demand that we put in place a management team instead of a single individual. This approach has allowed us to assemble what we believe to be an all-star team, each with specific talents that will culminate in a great experience for our customers.”

Jeremy brings a strong work ethic as well as several years of experience as a manager of the Blue Grass Internet marketing system. Jeremy will oversee the operation of the sale, provide customer service and work with the General Manager to develop business.

Myron has operated a large cattle and hay operation for many years and will continue that operation with his two nephews handling the home operation. His duties will include supervising the operations of the barn on sale day and customer service/business development throughout the rest of the week.
Many familiar faces will be on staff to provide continuity and that same great customer service for which Blue Grass has always been known.
